What is Slurry?
Slurry, also known as a controlled low strength material (CLSM), is made using rock, sand, cement, water and sometimes fly ash. Slurry is used primarily as a replacement for compacted backfill in trenches and covering utility lines, filling abandoned pipelines, utility vaults and underground cavities. The advantage of using slurry is that it saves contractors valuable days of schedule. While traditional compacted backfill requires a high level of labor, and several days to achieve compaction, slurry can be filled with less labor and no compaction time is necessary. GAMCRETE has different types of Slurry that range from sand to coarse aggregate. We also customize the amount of cement and fly ash used in each mix to meet your specific needs.
